MEMBERSHIPS

The aim of SME4SPACE is to voice Space SMEs’ viewpoint in a coordinated way and to facilitate the access of SMEs to space activities in general and to ESA and EU programmes in particular.
In particular, the organisation pursues the following not for profit purposes:

• Defining and defending common positions, representing the SMEs towards public authorities i.e. the European Space Agency, the European Union and its related agencies Organising seminars and information sessions
• Organising a network of SMEs in order to increase the possibilities to cooperate
• Carrying out research projects, participating at National, European and International calls in space and related activities

 The Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry is  the leading organisation of the business people of Cyprus and apart from offering a wide range of services to them it promotes their interests and views to the Government and the Legislature. It is an independent organisation operating as a Corporate body and is not enjoying any state or other subsidy. 

The CCCI is a recognised social partner in Cyprus and takes an active part in the Social Dialogue at national level while it also participates together with the trade unions and the Government in the various committees of tripartite cooperation.

The basic objectives of the CCCI are:

· To offer optimum service to the members and promote their interests, within the framework of the overall interests of Cyprus and the advancement of the well being of the Cyprus people as a whole.

· To safeguard and promote the free economic system of Cyprus, which has indisputably always contributed to the attainment of an enviable standard of living for the Cypriot people.

· To follow-up closely the economic developments and maximise the contribution of the business community to the country’s progress.

 The Cyprus Employers & Industrialists Federation (OEB) is the most representative national employer organization, politically independent, with a mission to promote and support the benefits of Cypriot businesses in Cyprus, in the European Union (EU) and internationally. 

 OEB is recognized by all official bodies, committees, councils, forums and institutions, as the leading institution and voice of Cypriot businesses. The statutory objectives of OEB include the continued economic and social progress of Cyprus, the country’s participation in decision-making bodies in the EU that affect the economy, the promotion of private initiative, the promotion of innovation, gender equality and female entrepreneurship and leadership, as well as to guide and assist businesses in achieving complete professionalism, become competitive and socially responsible. 

Safeguarding and promotion of research and innovation enterprises common interests, along legal, financial, social and ethical perspectives.  

Cooperation with Cyprus Government and other public and non-governmental organisations, aiming at the dissemination, development and promotion of scientific and technological research and innovation in Cyprus enterprises. 

Cooperation with governmental organisations responsible for the design of the Research and Innovation National Strategy and its promotion to enterprises in favor of increasing their competitiveness. 

Design and support of research and innovation promotion programmes, targeting enterprises as beneficiaries, and focusing on their needs for competitiveness increase in the local and international market.
